Designer Review
IDOL RADEC / 2008 AW (USA – Los Angeles)
Idol Radec is a great new menswear brand for the classic and clean gent. Its resort ease keeps you looking fresh for the beach clubs from Los Angeles to St. Barts, and from the yacht to cottage in the hills over looking the seaside without allowing pretension to get in the way. Despite his youthful appearance, this leisurely guy has got a line-up of serious achievements under his sleeve that he is in no way trying to flaunt.
The definitive architect of Idol Radec is dominated by distinguished accents, fitting cuts, and superior fabrics. Idol Radec believes in much more than just surviving, it believes in thriving. The collection is designed for men that transform the world. Available at CYANABOUTIQUE.com
CLAUD MAUS / 2008 AW (Australia)
Claude Maus’ Winter 2008 collection is really nice and clean, I guess it will be the next Aussie/Kiwi label to make the leap into the US ! The clothes would certainly fit right in on the streets of Manhattan.

GARCONSHINOIS / 2008 AW (Japan-Tokyo)
Beautiful menswear line form Japan – Garconshinois is not in the US yet !! Let’s see who gets it first…
A.T.O MATSUMOTO / 2008 AW (Japan .Tokyo)

&i (And-i) Autumn/Winter 08 Collection( London )
&i’s mission to simultaneously smarten up and soften up casual menswear continues. A more reserved palette is utilised than previous seasons, running the full spectrum between indigo and charcoal. At first glance the collection for autumn/winter 08 is a little more rugged than previous seasons, and not just through the muted colour palette. But, as always, look closer, and there are hidden depths of subtlety: grey-marl, cotton-jersey sweats, and bomber jackets are padded with cotton to give a fuller appearance, and naturally, to keep the wearer warm. This slightly utilitarian vibe stems from the combination of influences which drive the new collection: the workwear influence stems from studying the uniforms that prisoners wear, and this, combined with the softness and “clothes comfortable enough to sleep in” vibe which and i has perfected over the last six seasons, lends a sensual yet always masculine flavour to the collection. As always the majority of the collection is in delicately hued jersey, with a new linen/cotton mix jersey introduced this time round. &i’s collections are always worth studying to see the attention to detail. This collection features mismatching buttons and angular cuffs on shirts, while T-shirts feature the label’s signature mitten pockets (to keep your lover’s hands warm, of course). Elsewhere jackets have a dolman (seamless) sleeve on the back, and a raglan sleeve on the front so you can sleep in seamless comfort all day if you like! T shirts are at the centre of the collection, and this time we see slouchy, draped jersey Ts that run the full spectrum of blues and grey from indigo to charcoal. These garments, and the double breasted jersey blazer, are enzyme and stone washed so the dye will gradually fade to give a rich, distinguished effect. For all Inquiries contact Cyana Lab.
KELLER shoes( USA – New York )
I just spotted a new brand with some killer shoes. The ankle boots remind me of a vintage pair I bought in New York for $4 which dated back to the 1940’s. Despite them being 2 sizes too big I wore them to death justifying to myself that Pipi Longstocking never wore shoes her size either.
Keller is a New York based clothing and shoe line created by Kelly Clark.
The name Keller comes from a nickname given to her by her close friends.
“I want to create a line that reinvents itself each season by incorporating a fresh
purpose into classic ideas. I feel dedicated to the creation of subtle yet effective
pieces…clothing that is timeless, the kind that stays in your wardrobe forever.”
Kelly Clark was born and raised in a suburb of Philadelphia, PA. She learned to
sew from her mother, Diane, at an early age. Kelly received her B.F.A. in Fine Art
and Art History from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. She later went on to
receive her A.A.S. in Fashion Design from F.I.T. in New York.
Keller is based in Brooklyn, NY.

Add them on Myspace and show them support..
Endovanera
LA Menswear label Endovanera ( Yes, it sounds like end-of-an-era) is an up-and-coming line that you’ve got to take notice of now. David Michael Hershberger and Mitch Moseley make up the design duo that utilizes precise tailoring techniques defining their old-school American vibe. Their F/W collection is in large inspired by vintage military garments. Double breasted shirts, and tapered pants, subtle details in the form of hand-sewn buttons, curduroy pockets, contrasting liners, ribbon trim; all cloaked in dark cottons and wools sums up the Fall 08 aesthetic for Endovanera.
Epic Firm
I’d like to do a Review on Epic Firm, this brand has been around for a year and a half and you will heard more about it really soon with their new collection… Their style is what we can call ” StreetWear Chic ” with some military touch, based in NY, where the design studio is working on the fall/winter 08. The Cast
What I love most about SS’08 collection for The Cast is that there is so much range and style possibilities. I love clothes that YOU can define and not the other way around. The Cast is made up of several choice pieces that you can mix and match effortlessly with your own closet.
Commuun Duo
Japanese and Paris based duo Kaito Hori ( from Balenciaga) and Iku Furduate ( Central St. Martins) are on the fashion radar. Their spring line is structurally strong, where they use “picot,” a dated form of edging where thread is sewn in zigags to allow movement and fluidity. Since their launch in 2005, Commuun Duo has already won an LVMH award for ANDAM 2007. Think Future Classics.
Beckerman Sisters
The Beckerman sisters are a trio of sisters who have their own line. They create their own original textiles every season tobe able to best express their distinct personality. They are really fun.
Their Beckerman Spring 08 Collection is called “Passport to Coney Island”.
